» What is Salt and Burn?
Salt and Burn is a roleplay forum based on The CW series Supernatural created by Eric Kripke. The show centers on the main characters Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers who have devoted their lives to hunting evil. Here, we expand upon the world within the show, allowing players to pretty much be whatever they want in it. In addition to interacting with many of the show's characters, we also welcome original characters from players and encourage the development of complex storylines and plots. As a bonus, you don't really need to know anything about the show to be a part of forum.

» Content Warning
This forum is rated NC-17 for language, violence, nudity, use of drugs and alcohol, and potential instances of descriptive sexual scenes and other adult content in art, in character and out of character. You have been warned. One of the main things we do not like to do around here is restrict people, we encourage creativity and originality. Since we believe that, we have very little restrictions on what is said and done on the forum, so the rating is there for everyone to be aware of that fact. It is not the fault of anyone already on the forum if someone sensitive or under-aged is inadvertently exposed to adult content.

» Registration Information
To keep things organized, each character that you are going to roleplay here must have their own independent account, which means the name of your account should be the name of your character. You do not have to have a different email address for each account, one valid email will support them all. At present we do not have any great limitations on what your character can be (ie - demons, vampires, werewolves, etc), just as long as you don't come to us with something completely ridiculous. We also allow special abilities, like magical or demonic powers and the like, but please do not abuse this. There are no omnipotent characters.

» Original Characters
Since there are only a few characters on the show, we happily welcome any and all original characters you bring to us. We only ask the you please keep them related to the theme of the show and the roleplay, which is fantasy-horror. We're looking for demons, vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters, and other supernatural creatures. No anthros/furries, anime, or anything else completely unrelated to what this place is about. As far as the show characters are concerned, everyone except Sam and Dean will become available through an application process. Sam and Dean will always be roleplayed by the Admin, sorry, that's just the way it is. The application process is there to make sure the show characters go to people who actually know them well enough to roleplay them without deviating too far from how they are in the show. No deceased show characters will be resurrected.

» Roleplay Expectations
Your posts must be written in English using proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. This forum has a built in spell check system for everyone's convenience, so please take full advantage of it. Know that quantity does not always mean quality, but also remember that a three line reply to a two paragraph post is not acceptable either. Do not use words that you do not know the meaning of just to beautify or lengthen your posts. Absolutely no godmoding or powerplaying. As stated above, there are no omnipotent characters, doesn't matter what they are or where they came from.

» Personal Conduct
We shouldn't have to tell you to be nice and friendly around here, its common sense to treat others they way you would like to be treated in return. Please respect your fellow members, no racism, sexism, flaming, shunning, bickering, or anything else like that. If you have a problem with another member, take it to the Admin or a Moderator. Let the staff handle the problem. No spamming, whining, begging, advertising, or anything else like that either. It will not be tolerated. Also, please try not to swear excessively both in character and out of character. You must remain active in the roleplay. You cannot join, post a couple times and then disappear without warning. If you do, your accounts will be deleted.
